Mark Eubank was a popular and accomplished weatherman who worked in Utah for over 30 years. He was born on February 20, 1936, in Odessa, Texas, and studied meteorology at the University of Utah. Eubank began his career at KSL-TV in Salt Lake City in 1960 and later worked at KTVX, where he became well-known for his accurate weather forecasts and engaging on-air personality.
Eubank also worked as a radio meteorologist, hosting a daily weather show on KSL Newsradio. He was known for his dedication to helping people prepare for severe weather and his calm and reassuring demeanor during storms and other weather emergencies.
Eubank was also a pioneer in the use of computer technology in weather forecasting and helped to develop some of the first computerized weather models used in the industry. He retired in 1998 but continued to make occasional appearances on TV and radio.
Eubank was married to his wife, Terry, for over 50 years and had six children. He passed away on December 14, 2019, at the age of 83. He was remembered by colleagues and fans as a trusted and beloved figure in Utah's weather community.
